IQ is a 45 ft (13.72 m) high performance sailing catamaran built by Voyage Yachts in 2010 with a purposeful design that is both stylish and safe. Cruise from the Cape Town V&A Waterfront. Popular choices include cruising along the Atlantic seaboard taking in the exceptional views of Cape Town and Table Mountain, cruising passed Granger Bay on our port side and Robben Island on our starboard side. Table Bay and surrounding areas and routing is weather dependent.


Cruise time and cruise course are dependent on weather conditions and at the discretion of the captain. You and your guests’ safety will always be our primary priority.

What To Wear

Sunglasses, hats, a jersey or windbreaker as well as non-deck marking shoes (e.g. trainers/deck shoes), no black soles or high heels. You will be required to remove your shoes or shoe covers will be provided. Bring a bathing suit and towel for those keen on taking a dip.

Onboard bar

There is an onboad cash or card bar available (beverage list available). If you wanted to bring all your own drinks and not use the onboard bar at all, a corkage fee of R2,000 will be charged. Or if you want to use the onboard bar and and only bring a few bottles of your favourite alcoholic drinks that are not on the beverage list, then there is a corkage fee of R50 per bottle for wine & sparkling wine and Hard liquor will be charged at R100 per bottle - no ciders, beers or soft drinks are allowed to be brought onboard! When bringing your own drinks, ensure these drinks are kept in your own containers and chilled with your own ice.


Various menu options are available and must be arranged within 2 weeks prior to the charter. Gas BBQ / Braai facilities available @ R500 usage fee. If you wanted a designated Braaimaster the fee is R500 or you can braai yourself (Note: the crew cannot braai). Otherwise you are more than welcome to bring your own food and snacks. Cutlery, crockery & plates are not included so please bring your own.

DJ or Entertainer

We have numerous DJs on our supplier list (list attached) and are happy to facilitate that for you. Cape Town based Singer/Entertainer details available on request. Should you wish to supply your own they will need to bring their own equipment and speakers. Use of the generator @ R500. There is also an onboard sound system with Bluetooth, AUX or USB connection if you wish to bring your own music.

Additional activities

Add on some water sport activities such as Jet Ski’s @ R4,820 p/h per jet ski, Inflatable SUP Boards & paddle @ R750 per board and snorkelling with the Cape Fur Seals on 3+hours only, @ R1500 per person.

COVID-19 Aware

The vessel will have strict COVID-19 Protocols in place and require all clients to please follow all regulations when entering the premises in order to reduce transmission. Here are a few simple steps to follow: 1) Please wear masks when entering the premises. 2) Sanitising of hands and temperature checks will be conducted before entering. 3) Client details are required for Track & Trace purposes. 4) Be aware of social distancing.

COVID19 Regulations:

Please note that changes from the South African Government or SAMSA could change the total pax allowed onboard.

Should regulations change due to government announcements. We will reschedule of your charter to a future date suitable for you. NO REFUNDS will be provided, only rescheduling.
